No longer a trend, partner ecosystems are the new reality. Maybe I’m jaded because I’ve been writing about partner ecosystems for so many years. In fact, we’ve mentioned it as a “forward-looking trend” for the last five years in our end-of-year channel predictions webinar. It’s not forward-looking anymore. In fact, we're in year two or year three of the new reality where the people, programs and systems are in place to engage and support large partner ecosystems.
The saying goes: “Trust comes on foot, but leaves on horseback”. In other words, trust takes a long time to build and can be destroyed in a minute! Trust is a soft skill, but it can be brutally hard when it is not there. Trust is agile in the sense that we can work on our trustworthiness but we can not force someone to trust us. Trust has an impact on speed and cost as well.
Alliances & Partnerships seem such an easy way to grow an organisation. However, much the same as constructing a high-rise building, alliances and partnerships require a solid foundation to be able to deliver promising success. Unfortunately, that element is often overlooked. An essential part of creating a solid foundation is conducting proper partner analysis.
Introduction Core values are a fundamental aspect of any organization. They define its culture, help to guide decision making, and give employees a clear sense of what’s important to the company. But even though they’re so important, many organizations don’t spend enough time thinking about them or communicating them effectively. That’s why this article is here to help you figure out how your organization can use core values to improve both internal and external communica

Are partners not logging in or engaging with your partner portal as much as you'd hoped they would? Do your partners consider your portal to be “a mess”? Partner engagement starts with you. Partner engagement with your portal starts with a good partner experience. If the experience you're giving your partners is lacking, assess your partner experience strategy first before concluding that nobody wants to engage with your partner portal.
As rising energy prices and interest rates now work their way through the supply side of the economy, consumer demand is beginning to fall as prices go up. Consequently, in January Meta, Amazon, Apple, Google and Microsoft all announced large numbers of redundancies citing economic uncertainty. But, there is a sense of inconsistency in the message. For example, just days after Microsoft announced 10,000 layoffs, it was reported that the company was also investing $10 billion into OpenAI, the f

Although we have a long way to go to achieving gender parity in the workplace, the past few years have shown some encouraging signs of progress. According to the World Economic Forum, women’s share of senior and leadership roles globally has steadily increased between 2017 and 2022. However, the reality is that women continue to be underrepresented in leadership positions, and less than 9 percent of Fortune 500 CEOs are women.
There is hope for the environment and the maritime industry! Tore Strand, Business Manager for Ropes with Wilhelmsen , the multinational maritime group based in Lysaker, Norway, has developed a new venture called “BlueNGreen” that is set to revolutionize the way the industry deals with the 10,000 tons of used mooring ropes it produces each year. And Tore did it with the encouragement and support of the Executive Growth Alliance (EGA).
Every one of my female friends has the same configuration in her kitchen. The top drawer holds the day-to-day cutlery. The third drawer has tea towels and place mats. It’s so commonplace there’s even a shop in Melbourne called Third Drawer Down. In the second drawer, however, it’s barely contained chaos. It’s full of all those kitchen utensils that are really useful, but they‘re odd shapes and sizes and don’t fit neatly together no matter how many natty IKEA storage hacks you buy.

What’s happening in partnering and what you should do about it. My tradition of watching the annual channel predictions chat between Diane Krakora and Jay McBain with a large mug of glühwein didn’t change when I joined PartnerPath as our EMEA principal. What has changed is the depth of the notes I write. I used to scribble down some key quotes and throw them into conversations with peers and management to sound smart and revisit them when I had a decision to make on positive change for the year
The evolution of 5G networks, cloud computing and automated technologies is picking up pace today as Internet of Things (IoT) adoption becomes more widespread across UK businesses. Bridging the gap between the real world and the digital space, IoT is well set to form intelligent data connections, leading to improved customer experiences, streamlined processes, and increased operational efficiencies.
Measured in numbers, ChatGPT has no rival (yet): The chatbot became the fastest growing consumer app in history only two months after its launch, chalking up 100 million monthly active users in January 2023. But in terms of quality, the generative AI tool lay no claim to be the best. Based on technology already in existence, ChatGPT was pushed out to market in a hurry to outpace other chatbots in development.
In the fall of 2019, Kristian Sarastuen found himself in an unexpected and challenging situation. One of Norway’s most experienced strategic communications advisors with the Oslo office of Burson-Marsteller, a leading worldwide public relations and communications firm, Sarastuen was suddenly and improbably tapped to take on the CEO role. Now known as Burson Cohn & Wolf (BCW), the firm had undergone a reorganization, and with it, heavy financial losses a high rate of turnover and declin

My neighbour Jimmy has lived in his house for 60 years. The suburb at that time was full of recent migrants and tradies and people scorned the old Victorian weatherboard houses. Now it’s full of investment bankers driving Teslas. Real estate agents will always tell you that the best time to buy was last year. When Jimmy tells me how he bought his house for the equivalent price of a designer handbag, then they may have a point.
Almost every organization functions as a consortium of some sort. It’s the working relationships that allow an organization to achieve its mission and goals, while overcoming challenges and driving innovation. But what exactly is a consortium? And why is it important for organizations to start one? First off – What is a Consortium? A consortium is a group of companies that work together to achieve a common goal.
Imagine writing a beard-shaping guide geared toward millennial men. You’d likely list all the steps to shape and maintain specific beard styles. Within these steps, you’d mention items they need to complete the look. Now you can add affiliate links to helpful products from brands that align with your audience, ensuring they achieve the best results.
Quantum computing holds the potential to be one of the most era-defining innovations. So much so, that it’s almost impossible to predict the exact effects it will have across the world of technology. But there’s one thing that most in the tech industry agree on – it will eventually signal the end of asymmetric (public-key) cryptography, which underpins the system of machine identities enabling our online world to exist.
ChatGPT has dominated boardroom conversations for months now. From drafting a stock trading program, to creating a SQL query to model data, there are practically no limits to the applications of the AI language model assistant. At ManageEngine, we have been working on our own AI-assistant, Zia. Zia is a fully-trained analytics assistant that can perform a range of functions such as creating and adding reports to dashboards, providing conversational support to data analysis, insight discovery, bu
Life is full of surprises, and sometimes things happen that leave us feeling victimised or wronged. While it is normal to experience fleeting feelings of victimisation, for some people, it can become a constant part of their lives. However, a victim mentality is not a life sentence, and it is possible to overcome it. People prone to feelings of victimisation tend to have low self-esteem, feel pessimistic about life and suffer from feelings of guilt, shame, blame and self-pity.
A recent Dell’Oro Group report found that networking and security modernization are expected to double security revenue between 2022 and 2027. In particular, this growth is being fueled by technologies related to what is known as Secure Access Service Edge (SASE). Gartner defines SASE as a combination of networking and security services that provide businesses with a streamlined and future-thinking approach to orchestrate their IT infrastructure.
The world is full of contradictions. The celebrities who trumpet their environmental warrior credentials from the deck of their luxury yacht; Jeff Bezos thanking Amazon employees for making his space dream come true whilst they work 10 hour shifts without a break; giant Freddos that actually aren’t that big at all. You probably think that your non-profit has a lot of trust and credibility within the community because you’re a for purpose organisation and the only ones who care about making the w
An important component to any successful consortia or technology alliance is understanding your landscape. For industry and collaborators alike, it is important to understand who is doing what in your ecosystem/marketplace as it can (and often does) directly impact the work of your organization. A competitive analysis will help you do just that, by providing a comprehensive overview of the offerings, services, marketing strategies, and customer satisfaction levels of those in your ecosystem.

With technological progress comes increased security risks. Sophisticated and co-ordinated cyber groups are working every day to find potential entry points into organisations’ networks. And it’s getting easier for them to exploit companies’ vulnerabilities, as businesses often neglect security when adopting new technology. Following an attack, an organisation’s activity may be paused for between 20 and 30 days on average, which from our experience, may lead to a revenue loss of £274,000 per day
It's no secret that there are no universally applicable organisation designs. What works in one context may not work in another because each organisation has a different history, culture and cast of characters. And yet there is a thriving segment of the management consulting business that specialises in implementing “best practices” – or sometimes “flavour of the month” organisation designs – in companies that vary widely in terms of age, industry and background.
The COVID-19 pandemic has upended countless businesses and completely change the way modern markets behave. Since then, companies have had to reconsider their operations and performances to meet the new post-pandemic demands and survive.

Virtual sales success requires new ways of thinking. Sales managers, trainers, sales enablement managers, and sales reps across all industries must adjust to this digital transformation. That doesn’t mean, however, that you can transfer the old ways of doing business to the new blended selling environment. You need to implement essential virtual selling processes or you will get left behind.
Every year around International Women’s Day I hear the same question: what about the men? Why isn’t there an international day for men? Spoiler alert, it’s on 19 th November. Maybe the reason there’s such a low profile is that every day is men’s day. Plus, they’re probably relying on the women to organise it. It got me thinking about IWD and what it would look like if men were the ones fighting for equality.

The DoD provides funding for many standards development organizations and participates directly in standards processes. The DoD approached ISTO to help them form a consortia in order to facilitate and expedite the publication of a standard.
The entire technology industry and world is watching as the fallout from the unfortunate collapse of Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) has had wide-ranging effects throughout the technology and startup ecosystem. Transparently, while impact.com did have a banking relationship with SVB, we also work across several banking partners and are not adversely affected.
